Spain is a comparatively small country by global standards – only the 51st largest in the world. It also has a relatively small population – with just 47 million people. Spain is geographically on the edge of Europe, taking up most of the Iberian peninsula. It only shares borders with two countries – France and Portugal. You Can See Incredible Art In Spain A third reason why Spain is not boring is because there is so much incredible art to see in the country. Spain has a long history as one of the most important countries in the world for art. Famous Spanish artists include Pablo Picasso, Francisco Goya, Joan Miró, and Salvador Dalí. Many of their works are on display in the country and visitors get the chance to experience their amazing artworks up close. This is a big reason why Spain isn’t boring. The capital of Spain is Madrid – one of the most popular cities in Europe. Madrid is renowned for its architecture, style, nightlife, food and museums. It’s also the business and financial capital of Spain, making it a great place to work. Millions of people each year visit Madrid – a clear indication that the country can’t be boring. Spain’s second city is Barcelona. At the heart of the Catalan region, Barcelona also draws millions of tourists each year. It’s known for its beach, as well as its amazing food, architecture, art and history. Barcelona is one of the most popular cities in Europe for tourists – another sign Spain cannot be boring. As well as these major cities, there are also many smaller towns and cities across Spain that are incredible to explore. Places such as Seville, Valencia, Zaragoza, Bilbao, and Granada, have their own charms, cultures, cuisines and feels. There are simply so many places in Spain to visit that it’s impossible for the country to be boring. 7. Spain Has So Much Natural Beauty A final reasons why Spain isn’t boring is because it has so much natural beauty. Spain is a stunningly beautiful country. With nearly 6,000 miles of coastlines, much of it along the gorgeous Mediterranean, Spain is a beach-lovers paradise. Spain has amazing mountains, planes and rural landscapes that have captured imaginations for centuries. Many people are drawn to Spain because of the country’s natural beauty. It’s also one reason why it isn’t a boring place. The landscapes across Spain are hugely varied. This means exploring the nation can be incredible. Spain also has a great climate, with generally mild winters and long hot summers. The combination of the country’s natural beauty, combined with its good climate brings millions of people to Spain each year. A country with this combination couldn’t possibly be boring.
